Before & After

Take a look below at the difference before and after a refurbishment.

In this picture there is corrosion underneath the film coating, a very common problem with BMW’s, Mercedes, Audi’s etc. This is caused by a small hole or crack appearing in the film coating which allows water to enter, this then reacts and creates white powder which is the corrosion on the alloy.

alloy before refurbishment

In this picture the alloy has been fully refurbished with no corrosion, the corrosion is removed by simply dipping the alloys into the acid which removes most of the layers of paint and corrosion, they are then blasted with aluminium oxide which cleans up the alloy surface/removes stubborn parts and gives a keyed up surface ready for powder coating which when finished looks like the following image.
